JCDL 2026 Registration
Registration is available for the full in-person conference, online-only attendance, and workshops/tutorials. Please review the registration requirements and fee categories below before registering.
Standard rates apply after the early-bird deadline. All registration fees listed on this page are non-refundable.

Author Registration Requirement
JCDL absorbs the costs of publication through registration fees. To be fair in pricing, every paper or poster submission must have at least one coauthor pay the full conference registration.
- This applies even if all authors are attending online, or only attending the workshops.

Multiple full registrations are needed if one person is representing more than one paper or poster at the
conference. In this case, individuals must use separate email addresses for each registration.
- This requirement includes regular papers, resource papers, and posters.
- Exception: doctoral consortium and undergraduate track papers do not count as additional papers for the student, but if the student does not register for the conference, the papers count toward any coauthor totals (so every paper has an associated registration).
- Exceptions to keynote speakers, student volunteers, conference chairs, and discounts for workshop/tutorial organizers are communicated separately.
- ACM APC (Article Processing Charge) fee is not included in the registration, and is necessary for any additions to the published proceedings, including papers and poster abstracts.
Author registration must be finished by September 15th, 2026. Otherwise, the paper will be excluded from the conference proceedings.
Presenting Authors
- Presenting authors of conference contributions, including long papers, short papers, posters/demos, and panels, are expected to present in person.
- Authors should indicate their submission number during registration.
Online-Only Registration
- Online-only registration is available for attendees who will participate remotely.
- Online-only registration does not satisfy the author registration requirement: every paper or poster still needs at least one coauthor paying the full conference registration, even if all authors attend online.
Full Conference Registration
- Full Conference registration is intended for standard in-person conference participation.
- Full Conference registration includes one dinner (banquet) ticket.
- Workshops/tutorials require separate registration unless otherwise stated by the conference organizers.
Workshops / Tutorials
- Select the Workshops/Tutorials Only category if you plan to participate in these programs without a full-conference registration.
- Workshops/Tutorials Only registration does not satisfy the author registration requirement for an accepted paper or poster.
- Workshop/tutorial registration fees are non-refundable.

Additional Items
Banquet / Dinner Tickets
The full registration automatically includes a dinner ticket. Additional dinner tickets purchased during registration are strictly for additional guests that are not registered for the conference. There is no restriction on the number or type of guests who attendees can bring, but every additional guest will require a banquet ticket.
